We like that the time hands light up at night and the face is easy to read. This is not a fault - remember you are dealing with a mechanical item and is normal, as I grew up with such items. The first 2 days the new time hand would stop- it seems to need 2 days to settle in - gently move the clock side ways and make sure the clock is fully wound - after that no problems. If you over wind it - it wont tick, so turn the alarm to that time and it will ring down and you can reset it - problem fixed.
It keeps great time and should be wound every 36 hours for 10 complete turns and then stop. The alarm is a pleasant sound and the ticking is relaxing and not too loud. Good value, great old world look clock.The casing is flawless and a solid color (brighter than photo) with good proportions.
